Oudong
Once the capital of Cambodia Oudong lies 40km North of Phnom Penh on route 5 which is the road to Battambang.
Nearby is Phnom (Hill) Oudong which is the site of many temples and provides an excellent view of the surrounding countryside.
The road out to the temples is very scenic and in good condition. If you are riding a motorcycle always be aware of oncoming vehicles as people here do not give way and often overtake a vehicle overtaking another.

The steps to the temples are lined with beggars and sales people selling cold drinks.
